Algonquins and Iroquois
-Algonquins lived in the north opposite to the Iroquois who lived in the south.
-Algonquins followed the animals and were nomade while the Iroquios were semi-sendentary and moved after 10 years when the soil was no longer fertile.
-The Algonquins lived in tents and the Iroquiens lived in long houses -

Start of New France
Samuel Champlain returned to create a trading post and created Stadacona. (Where the river narrows) -

The seigneur were people who owned rectangle plots of land and paid and sold some to the censitaires (peasants) to cultivate. They were high the the chart, close to royalty. -

Irish immigrated to Canada becasue of big potato famine. They were hated by the french because they would work for less and take the jobs of the french -

People started moving out of the city because they were losing there jobs to the irish who worked for less. -
