I don't remember this day, however, it was really important. My parents were very excited for the birth of their first child. -
1st Birthday
I finally had hair by this birthday, however, I still don't remember this age. Mom did say that my 1st birthday party was on one of the hottest days and that they had to get a huge fan to put in the yard. -
911
I don't remember this event, however, it was a horrible tradgetdy for everyone. This affected so many lives and was a very aweful day. -
Jordan was born
This was the day I became a big sister. I don't remember this day very much, however, I couldn't imagine life without Jordy. He is one of my best friends and he has definetly had a huge impact on my life. He is the hardest worker I know and has the biggest heart. -
Started Preschool
I attended Preschool at Color my World in Huntingburg. My first year I cried because I was nervous and missed my mom. However, I met some of my friends there that I still have to this day. -
5th Birthday
I remember having all of my family over for lunch. Dad grilled and we had chocolate cake. I don't remember what gifts I got however, I am pretty sure it was something that had Hello Kitty on it. I was a huge Hello Kitty fan at this point in my life. -
Started Kindergarten
I attended Kindergarten at Southridge elementary school. I only went half days and loved school. I had Mrs. Olinger for a teacher and she was the best. This is where I started my career at Southridge. -
Hurricane Katrina
This was a very deadly cyclone that killed many people and destryoed everything in its path. I dont remeber this very much but it affected so many lives. -
Moved to Van Buren Street
I moved from the house where I lived since birth to a place across town. I was super excited to move because I got to paint my new room pink. Also, I finally got my own room. -
Great Recession
This was an awful time for all of society. The housing market crashed and everyone felt the effects. Jobs were cut and so was pay. I was old enough to remeber this awful time in history where everyone was struggling. -
Obama was sworn into office
This was a historic event because he was the first African American president. -
10th Birthday
For my tenth birthday, I had all of my friends over to go and get our nails painted. We went to a place in Jasper called True Day Spa. Then when we came back home we had DQ icecream cake. I rember this birthday because I got a bunch of Webkiz. I was in a big Webkinz stage at this age. -
Grandpa passed away
This was a very sad day for my family. My mom's dad passed away from lung cancer. I knew that I would never smoke in my life because I had to watch grandpa go through a painful death. This was really hard to watch at such a young age. -
Started Middle School
I was really excited and nervous to move up to the middle school. This was a big change compared to elementary school and we had a lot more freedoms. These were for sure my awkward years that I don't really like to remember. -
Sammie was born
We got our first dog ever on this day! I had never had a pet that I had to take care of before. Sammie was an inside dog for the first couple months of her life and she was a very big handful. After the first couple of months, we moved her to outside. -
13th Birthday
I was in the 7th grade during this birthday and was very awkward. I had a bunch of friends over to spend the night and go to the football game at Jasper. We all had on matching shirts and bows. -
Started High School
I was super nervous for my first day of high school. I had no clue what to expect and heard some horror stories. Also, I was very shy my freshman year and didn't talk very much. However, high school shaped me into the person I am today. I worried for no reason and grew out of my shyness. I also met some of the best people that are my friends. -
Moved again
I was really excited to move into our home by the Huntingburg lake. It was a lot of work to move, but it was worth it. This was a very hectic move because we sold our other house so fast that we had to move asap. When we moved into our new house our kitchen wasn't finished yet and we only had one bathroom with one working sink in the whole house. It was definitely a crazy experience because the builders had to come and work while we were living there. -
Homecoming
I was super excited and honored to be apart of football homecoming. This was a big shock to me because I had no clue that I would be nominated. -
First trip to Disney
The trip was very stressful because Disney is very hectic. However, it was a lot of fun with my family. Also, I realized that Disney might not be the happiest place on earth. There were crying children everywhere. -
16th Birthday
This was a very exciting birthday because I was so close to finally getting my license. Also, it was my "sweet 16". -
Confirmation
This was an amazing experience to be finally accepted into my church as an adult. -
Prom
I was so excited to go to prom with Jenna as my date. I thought going to prom was like the coolest thing ever, and I still do. This was one of the highlights of sophmore year. -
Started dating Luke
Luke is my best friend and I couldn't imagine life without him. He is such a great guy and has greatly influenced my life. Luke makes me a bettter person. -
Joined Swimming
I had never swam on a team in my life so this was a very random decision. However, I was so glad I joined because I loved swimming for Southridge, even if I was super slow. -
Inducted into NHS
I felt honored to be inducted into our NHS. This was a very exciting day where I finally felt like my hard work had paid off. -
Trump was sworn into office
This was one of the most controversial elections ever. -
Spring Break
My mom, Kayla, and me went to Destin Florida for spring break. It was the most fun trip I have ever been on. -
Prom
Prom was so much fun with all of my friends there this year. I was so excited to go and got my dress months in advance. -
FCA Camp
I met the most amazing people at this camp and had a great time. I will remember this camp and the people I met forever. -
Class Europe Trip
This was the most amazing experience of my life. I planned for this for two years and it was so much fun. We saw the most beautiful places and got to experience culture from many different countries. -
Wisdom teeth removal
This was an awful time in my life, that left me stuck on the couch for a week. I definitely appreciated life more after this. -
First day of senior year
This was a very exciting yet terrifying day. I loved high school and I am still not ready for it to end. I am ready to move on and experience life, however, I will always miss my friends and time at Southridge. -
Hurricane Harvey
This affected so many people in Texas and South Florida. For Key Club we raised money to try and help send donations to Texas for aid. -
18th Birthday
This was an exciting year because I was officially an adult. I had my friends over for cake and ice cream and we had a fire. I was happy to surrounded by my family and friends. -
Homecoming
I felt so blessed to have won football homecoming queen. This was a very exciting day because I did not see it coming at all. I will never forget this day. -
Got accepted into IU
This was a very exciting day because I have wanted to go to IU ever sinse the 6th grade. I can't wait to start this new chapter of my life and I get to room with Sam. -
Football State
Going to Indy to watch our football team win state was an amazing way to end our senior year football season. It was so cool to watch! -
Graduation
I am excited to graduate and move on with life. However, I will very much miss Southridge. This is an exciting step in my life that makes me nervous.
