Helen and Jenny are born.
After their birth, Helen stays with her birth parents and Jenny is adopted. Helen lives more of a difficult life and is abused, where Jenny is loved unconditionally by her adoptive parents. There are no pictures of the girls together when they were born, but there is a picture of Helen aged six. -
Jenny finds out she is adopted.
During a dispute, Jenny's cousin says to her, "You're not even apart of this family, your mams not your real mother." At this moment Jenny knew she was adopted and was looking for answers. The picture is of Jenny when she was six years old. -
Helen moves to South Africa.
Helen's parents decide they want to move to South Africa and because Helen is still too young to stay behind, she is forced to go with them. Although, she does get to move back to England when she is twenty-one. This picture attached is of Mercia (the girls' mother) and Helen in their flat in South Africa. -
Helen starts a family.
Shortly after moving back to England, Helen is married to a man named Simon and has two children, one a boy, Scott, and one a girl, Donna. The picture attached is of Helen and Simon on their wedding day with Helen's parents, Mercia and Tommy. -
Jenny becomes a professional golfer.
Jenny always loved golf because her father did, but she carried it with her through her life and started entering professional tournaments. She was the only English women to go professional in her year. -
Jenny starts a family.
After her golf career comes to an end because of medical problems, Jenny settles down with a man named Sam and they have three kids. The first two kids are biological, named Ben and Katie. Their third is adopted from Romania and named Josh. Here is a picture of Jenny and her three kids with Mercia when they met. -
Jenny meets Mercia.
Mercia is Jenny birth mother and even though she did not show it, Jenny has been looking for her ever since she found out she was adopted. Jenny approaches Mercia's door with her family and ends up finding out lots of information, including the fact that she has a sister, Helen. The picture attached is of Jenny and Mercia when they first met. -
Jenny and Helen meet for the first time.
After Jenny's meeting with Mercia, she could not get Helen out of her head until she found her. It started with a few emails explaining the situation until they finally met in person. They got along so well. -
Jenny and Helen find out who their real father is.
Up until she knew about Jenny, Helen believed that Tommy, the abusive man that raised her alongside her Mercia, was her father. But something did not add up with the time of Mercia's relationships with both girls' fathers, and Helen and Jenny's birth dates. After a DNA test confirmed that both girls share the same parents, they finally knew who their real father was- Wilfred Harrison. Attached is a picture of Helen at two years old with Tommy. -
The girls learn about their fathers' side of the family.
When Helen and Jenny went looking for Wilfred they discovered that he died, but they were able to talk with his brother. They found out that Wilfred was an amazing man and that after being with Mercia, he married a woman and had 6 children. That means Jenny and Helen have 6 half-siblings, not even including Mercia's other children. -
Helen and Jenny make peace with their birth father.
They had never met their father before, so it must have been time. Helen and Jenny visited Wilfred's grave on his death anniversary. They brought him flowers and a card that said, "Wilfred Harrison, Our Dad, with love always, Helen and Jenny xxxx." The photo above is of Wilfred.
