When Helen Keller lost her sight and hearing
She was born with all of her senses but lost them after she had a sickness at the age of 2 in 1882. Her sickness was called brain fever by a family docter. She started speaking and walking before she got sick. -
Helen Keller's speech class
In 1890, Keller began speech classes at the Horace Mann School for the Deaf in Boston. She began to do this so that she can give speeches and share her story. Also so she can to others without doing sign language. -
