Helen Longino is an American philosopher born July 13, 1944. While the field of science was still mostly dominated by men at this time, Longino did not let this sway her from perusing her dreams. Longino went on to receive her BA from Barnard College in 1966, MA in Philosophy from Sussex University in 1967 and her PhD from the Johns Hopkins University in 1973. Helen Longino now serves as a professor of C. I. Lewis Philosophy at Stanford University. -
