I was born April 23,2001 at 4:00 in Robert Wood Johnson. My birth was the one my mom suffered the most with. -
My sister was born
On April 19, 2003 my sister was born in Robert Wood Johnson as well. She has been my partner in crime even though we may not get along sometimes I love her. -
Started school
When I was three years old I began my educational journey. It was hard to let go of my mom but going to school has helped me grow as a person. -
First time I visited Guatemala
In 2006, I traveled to Guatemala for the first time in my life. I was able to meet my family for the first time and I bonded with them really quick. -
My cousin got pregnant
My cousin was 15 when she got pregnant. Her life hasn't been easy and she's my inspiration to do my best so I won't make the same mistakes as her. -
My aunt got deported
When I was 10 my favorite aunt/God mother was deported. She was like my mother, she listened to my problems, and she made sure I always had the support I needed. After she left I wasn't the same person anymore. -
Graduated middle school
Starting school at foundation wasn't easy for me . Some teachers made it impossible but I was able to graduate and move on. -
Started high school
Entering a new environment was a challenge because I didn't know what was expected from me. Certain teachers had different expectations but high school isn't so bad. -
Went on vacation by myself
When I turned 15 my parents allowed me to travel by myself for the summer. I was able to experience some time without my parents which helped me realize how much a family means to someone. -
My mom became ill
My mom is so special to me and she means the world to me. This situation helped me realize how much value a mom has.
