Birthday
My birth is important because it is when G-d decided to let my soul come down into this world. My parents had difficulty conceiving after the birth of my older brother, so they decided to try surrogacy. The doctor told them not to get their hopes too high because the chances were low, but then they got pregnants with triplets! We were born two months early and each weighed around 3.5 pounds so we had to stay in the ICU for 3 months. -
Our trip to Africa
We traveled to West Africa for a total of 10 days and experienced so many cultures. We ate different foods and visited villages. Sadly, there were many people that lived in poverty and although it was hard to see it made me feel appreciative. It was amazing to see all the willdlife and I hope to go there again soon. -
Traveling in Alaska
During my summer vacation, my whole family traveled all around Alaska. We stayed in a big motor home and stayed in camp sites at night. We saw wild grizzly bears and went fishing for salmon. It was one of my favorite family trips ever! -
Bat Mitzvah!
I had my Bat Mitzvah around a year before and it was exciting. I wore a beautiful white dress and had a party. Many special people were there to support me! -
Uncle Tommy Passing
In 2009 my uncle passed away and was my first and only time dealing with a death. It taught me not to take life for granted and to appreciate my family. I also realized that as hard as it is, it is a part of life. Miss you Uncle Tom! -
Moving into our new house
During that same year, my family and I moved into the new house that we had been building for two years! I finally got my own room and bathroom and could have friends spend the night. It was a very important part of my development as a young girl. -
Meeting my mentor
I met my religious studies online teacher when I was in 7th grade. She has helped me develop a new love towards my religious heritage and people. We learn everyday for three hours and it keeps me going at hard times. She lives in California and I am actually going to visit her soon. -
Transitioning into highschool
The time I changed the most was transitioning into 9th grade because I was insecure and was not happy with my schooling situation. I had to learn how to make really hard choices and still remain happy. My mom really helped me and taught me that sometimes people are too self-involved to even be concerned you and judge you for not going to a regular school. For 9th grade I attended a Jewish private school in Phoenix. -
Meeting my best friend
I met my best friend, Emily in October 2014 and she is incredibly special to me and has helped me so much. She lives in Phoenix but we visit each other often. I am so blessed and lucky to be able to know her. -
Joining Primavera Online high school
I figured out my schedule and thrived a lot. All of 10th grade and up until now in 11th grade, have been my highest points because my life feels balanced. Hopefully, as I get older I will have more and more high points. Primavera opened many new doors in my life and I feel so confident.
