Muhammad was born in the year 570 in the town of Mecca. His name derives from the Arabic verb hamada, meaning "to praise, to glorify." -

Orphan

He fasted and meditated. Muhammad finally began to reveal the messages that he was receiving to his tribe. Later, these message become the Qur'an. When he tried to make these message public, people who follows the traditional Mecca's tribal ways ridiculed them, they even wanted to assassinate Muhammad. -

The Military Period
The early skirmishes from Muhammad's success led to three majoy battles in 624, 625 and 627. After the battles, a treaty was signed, which gave the Muslims freedom to move unmolested throughout Arabia. -

Death
Muhammad died in Medina from an illness on June 8, 632 A.D. He was buried in the mosque in Medina. -

Marriage and Family Life
