Lesson on 3D printer
We spent the Wednesday morning at IES Alpajés school.
During the first lesson Mr. Leopoldo, the Spanish coordinator, explained how a 3D printer works and told us that very soon each of us will have a 3D printer at home to print our personal objects. -
International robotics workshops
Each group of students had to make and program a moving robot based on the Arduino card. Students were given a kit to assemble following an instruction sheet.
Good and fruitful cooperation among the partner students was necessary to achieve their tasks. -
Reception at school
We were treated with delicious food cooked by the Spanish cuisine students. -
Royal Palace
Visit of the Royal Palace in Aranjuez , the summer and hunting residence of the Spanish Royal Family.
This visit allowed our students to discover the Spanish monarchs' daily-life. -
Chiquitrain
This little train took us around the most important and characteristic places of Aranjuez as well as the gorgeous Prince's gardens. -
Official Welcome
Official welcome at IES Alpajés and meeting with local authorities. -
Excursion to Madrid
On the bus, on the way to Madrid. -
Madrid center
Visit of Madrid city-centre guided by the Spanish students. -
Prado museum
We had the opportunity to admire the splendid collection of paintings in the famous Prado museum. -
Visit at INTA
Visit of the National Institute of Aeronautical Technology in Torrejon de Ardoz.
During this visit we could see a huge wind tunnel that is used to check the performance of plane engines, some satellites and some parts of Ariane 5. -
Alcala de Henares
Guided visit of the historical quarters of Alcala de Henares, UNESCO site and hometown to Miguel de Cervantes, author of "Don Quixote", whose house we visited. -
The Corral de Comedias theatre in Alcalá de Henares.
It opened in 1602 and is one of the oldest in Spain. It still shows the various architectural elements that are evidence of its long history. -
Teachers meeting
During this last project's mobility we discussed the project progress and its benefits for our students. The final meeting on Saturday morning allowed us to fix the details of the project's final product and establish each partner's responsibilities in the achievement of our project's objectives. -
Gardens
Visit of the Royal Gardens of Parterre and of the Island. -
Departure
Departure on Sunday morning.
