We went on our family farm by cooperton OK where I was born. -
I caught a 4lb bass.
I cuaght it on a bugs bunny fishing pole and I was 4 years old. -
Got a BB gun for my B-Day
This is how the hunting started with me. -
My grandpa gave me a yellow lab puppy.
The dogs name was chubby. He was my best friend and I did everything with that dog. I would rope him and ride him and all kinds of things. -
Split my head open on a concrete step.
I still have the scare above my left eye. -
Rode a horse for the first time.
My older sister loved to ride and she started taking me for rides with her. -
Grandpa died
This event changed me forever. -
Moved from the country
We moved to lawton. I went through a sort of depression for about a year after this and then I was still real sad. -
Got a 22 rifle for my B-Day
I can remember opening that box and how excited I was. Dad took me out that day to go shoot it. I had a lot of fun shooting turtles and rabbits with it. -
Learned how to shoot a shotgun
Dad got me a single shot 410 shotgun for my birthday and he started taking me out and he would make me shoot box after box of shells until iIcould hit things in the air. -
Shot my first deer.
I shot a pig that morning and went back out in the evening and shot my first deer. It was a doe. -
Shot my first elk.
It was a cold morning to start off and I had coveralls on and a huge jacket. I ended up crawling about 300 yds on my belly to get to them and I shot an elk. It turned out to have already been shot and it was sick. -
Had my first bow kill.
My dad went out on opening day and didnt see a thing, but I waited and went after school and ate a huge brownie. I got to the stand and sat there about 30 min. and a spike buck came up and I shot it. Dad was shocked. -
Shot the biggest deer of my life.
I coudn't go out on opening day so I went to this stand the next morning. I saw this monster 12 point come out of the creek and made a perfect shot. He weighed over 200 lbs field dressed. I got him mounted and named him Hemi.
