The First Crusade
The first crusade occured on November 27, 1095. It was intended to take back the Holy land, Jerusalem, from the Muslims. They succeeded in capturing the city, and turned it into part of the Christian Empire. After the Christians took Jerusalem, they wanted to drive all Muslims from the regeon. -

The second Crusade
The second crusade was the result of the capture of the country of Edessa. It was instigated by Pope Eugenius III. It was all part of a bigger plaan to rid Muslims from the Region, that presented danger of an attempt to recapture the holy land.

The Third Crusade
The third crusade is where the famous crusaders wearing crosses came into play. Most memorable were the red crosses, which were used By the Frsnch. The third crusade was led by two men. Saladin, a Muslim man that really wanted to take back the holy land. He used this excise to bring the Muslims together. The other leader was Richard the Lionheart. He was a Christian who faught in the crusades and was seen by many as an awesome guy.

The Fourth Crusade
The fourth crusade occured because Pope Innocent III was elected, and decided to battle the Egyptians that had Jerusalem under their control He wanted to take back the holy land, but instead it got Constantinople conquered. Which was not the plan.

The Fith Crusade
The fith crusade aimed at destroying Egypt's unity. This would result in Egypt weakning and leaving them vulnerable to attack. The goal of this is that oncr Egypts unity falls, the christians would be able to take back Jerusalem.

The Sixth Crusade
The sixth crusade was the successful one. It accomplished what all the other past crusades failed at, it was able to recapture the holy land. It was ablev to acomplish this by the Leader of the Holy Roman Empire, Fredrick II of Hohenstaufen.

The Seventh Crusade
The holy land is once agsin captured by the Turks on August of 1244. King Louis IX of france wanted to free the holy land once again. He and his men were succesful in battle, but weak and tired most of his men contracted a diesies which killed most of his men. On his way home, Louis was captured by Egyptian armies and eventualy set free. (Exact date not found, using general format) -

The Eigth Crusade
Once again King Louis IX of France wanted to capture Jerusalem. He and his men set out to capture it with his men. He later died of a diesese. His brother then took charge. He set out to the holy land, but a storm made supplies go missing, and they had no choice but to return to France.
