Hidalgo ralied his troops using the Virgin Mary, and gave a speech while ringing the bells of a cathedral. This was the initiation of the independance movement. -

The hero, legend, or myth, El Pipila, along with Hidalgo and 100 men take the Alohndiga de Granaditas. -
Monte de las Cruces
Hidalgo and Allende fight against General Trujillo at the battle named Monte de las Cruces, after its locaion. -
Hidalgo Forced to Lick his Wounds
Hidalgo is forced to retreat into the North after suffering from a tragic loss. However, the Spanish managed to ambush him and his troops. Many were captured and executed. -
Hidalgo's Tragic Execution
Hidalgo is tried and is obviously found guilty for treason. He is executed and his head is hung to show at the Alohndiga de Granaditas. -
The Time For Jose Maria Morelos
Jose Maria Morelos took over for Hidalgo, but like Hidalgo was also captured and sentenced to death for treason. He was escorted to Mexico City where he was executed. -
Plan de Iguala Comes into the Picture
The Plan de Iguala was accepted and it favored both the rebel army and Iturbide. -
Iturbide "Estrena" His New Found Power
After using the Plan de Iguala to gain power, he becomes Emperor finalizing the 11 yaer war, and allowing Mexico to be a constitutional democracy.
