    PJC opens and offers classes to Phoenix Union High School students in 9 different subjects.

    Students could utilize new classroom space on the 15th ave and Thomas location. This marked a period of massive growth. (Facilities were prevously located on Filmore Street).
  • 5th Dean of PJC in 1947

    5th Dean of PJC in 1947
    The 5th Dean of PJC in 1947, Dr. Robert Hannelly, eventually becomes the first president of the Maricopa Community College District in 1963. 1947 also marks the largest enrollment seen at PJC with 1,269 students.
  • Radio Program hosts "Meet the Professor"

    Students introduce their favorite professors to the public through the readio in order to inform the public about the role of the college in the community.
  • Dean of Continuing Education and Evening Division

    Dean of Continuing Education and Evening Division
    Dr. Mildred Bulpitt was one of the first women in the U.S. to hold a leadership position outside traditional student services. The PC Bulpitt auditorium is named after her.

    Innovation of the year
    MyPC mobile app was developed and won the innovation of the year award. Students can access important information from their mobile devices regarding class schedule, campus map with GPS, and textbook information and many other things.
