At this point in history millions of Americans were reading. Literacy is now becoming a priority at this point. -
No Child Left Behind Act
This act made it the school's responsibility that all students made enough academic progress to be promoted to the next grade level. This left no room for teachers to suggest students repeat the same grade level. -
Every Student Succeeds Act
This act was created to improve the students overall academic achievement by first improving all educators professional development. (ESSA) was a replacement for the 2001 "No Child Left Behind Act"
