Birth
I was born to Coralie and Jeff Maxwell at 3:28 p.m. on March 11, 1998. I weighed six pounds and seven ounces, and measured in at approximately twenty-one inches. -
Broken Wrist
When I was two, I broke my wrist when I fell from a chair and the chair fell on top of me. I now often sleep in a wrist brace and wear it in between volleyball games, because my left wrist is not as strong as it was prior to the break. -
Moved Houses
After months of planning and construction, my family moved to our current house near the Big Dam Bridge. Not only is it where I reside, but I have learned some of my most valuable lessons and created the strongest bonds between my family members at my house. -
Nana's Death
On October 28, 2002, we got a call while at "Boo at the zoo", and learned that my Nana, my father's mother, had passed away. She has greatly influenced me throughout my life, as I am much like her. We both loved to shop and go deal-hunting, and she was an English teacher, which is most likely where my love for the subject was inherited. -
First Day of Kindergarden
On August 17, 2003, I walked into the Cathedral School for my first day of kindergarden. There, I learned skills that prepared me for Episcopal Collegiate School and formed many of the friendships I stil have today. -
Week at Mimi and Pawpaw's
When I turned six years old, I was allowed the privilage to go stay with Mimi and Pawpaw, my mother's parents, for one week. I have continued this condition every summer. As I have gotten older, I have started to bring a friend to share the experience of "Camp Watts" with. Staying with them at their lake has given me my love of nature and travel and sense of exploration that will be with me in my years to come. -
Hallie
On June 19, 2006, my family went to Cabot, Arkansas, and bought our dog, Hallie. She has been a big part of my life, from daily walks to cheering me up when I feel down. -
Bill's Death
On November 3, 2008, Bill Norman, who was like a grandfather to me, died of cancer. He was one of the strongest people I've known, and he always had a smile on his face. He has inspired me to live life to the fullest and to be a better person. -
Camp Ozark
Four camp seasons ago, I drove up to Mount Ida, Arkansas, to go to Camp Ozark for a week-long session. Litttle did I know what an impact it would make on my life. I have made friends that I talk to every day and have even visited once a year. Even more importantly, Camp Ozark is where I found God and continue to learn more about him each year. Without Camp Ozark, I would be a quieter, less confident person. -
Volleyball
In my seventh grade year, I began playing volleyball. I take almost every oppertunity I have to play, and I have played club, or off-season advanced volleyball, ever since I began the sport. It is my favorite thing to do, and it always encourages me to improve and push myself. Even after a long day, volleyball is something that always clears my mind and gives me great joy.
