Current Status
Currently, I believe that at Springs we are ready for more. We have the one-to-one devices, and already have personalized learning plans that we put together with parents. Learners taking more control of their learning seems to be the obvious next step. I believe that we are ready to allow for students to have a greater part in planning their education (how they present information, where they gather information from, etc). Let's get started! -
Introduce idea to staff.
Introduce the idea of students creating their own learning experience. [https://youtu.be/A5NKHY-bF9k] Introduce using various tools such as voki, voicethread, etc. to showcase their learning. Tell them that we are starting a pilot with these tools, and that the program will go through evaluations and changes this semester with a presentation in May. -
Student Input
Have students discuss in groups the different ideas they have about creating their learning experiences. -
Resource Compilation
Create a document that has links to different resources. -
Resource Trial Run
Have students explore different resources. -
Making it Work
During PLP's introduce students to the idea of creating their own learning experience and give them resources to get them started. -

Have students get into groups to discuss what was working well, what changes need to be made. (Send home parent survey) -

Evaluate student discussions and parents surveys. Make changes where necessary. -
