Civil Rights Act of 1875
The Civil Rights Act of 1875 was ratified on February 27, 1875. This act gave all citizens doesn't matter the color, access to public areas like theaters, schools, churches, and cemeteries. A consequence was that it refused to allow discrimination of basic sex, and race in hiring. -
13th amendment
The 13th Amendment abolished slavery across the United States. -
14th amendment
This amendment was passed on June 8, 1866. The 14th Amendment granted citizenship to all people born in the US. -
15th amendment
This was ratified on February 3rd, 1870. This amendment gave African Americans the right to vote. -
first force act
This act was ratified in May 1870. It didn't allow people to group up or disguise themselves with the intention of violating citizens constitutional rights. There were no further consequences. -
Second force act
Second force act was ratified in February 1871. This allowed martials to be supervising local polling places.There are no unintended consequences. -
KKK Act
This act was ratified on April 20th, 1871. This act let the president deploy federal troops to take out the KKK and to make arrest without charge. There were no consequences.
