Chile's new dictator Ramon Freire takes over. He was previously known as O'Higgins' "closest ally." Higgins would pass through Peru on his return home but decide to join Bolivar in his quest for independence instead. -

Bolivar uses his power to fix the political and military organization of the entire country. He defeats the Spanish military and liberates the country -
