Journey Through Women's Rights

  • Period: to

    Timeline

  • The Beginning

    The Beginning
The start of our Passion Project. I chose to do Women's Rights as it connected to my experiences in life.
    Who- Females (different cultures/ages)
    What- Gender inequality
    Where- All around the world
When- In the past and the present
Why- After decades of learning from our mistakes, you can still find gender inequality happening around us. It doesn't matter if you travel to India or stay in Canada, it still exists! Being a female, I want to prove to others what we are undersestimated for.

The Surrey Women's Centre told me I had to be 18 years old to volunteer so I phoned them and asked if I could drop in one day and observe how their shelter functions. They responded by saying 'they could not accomadate my request'. I became very worried as I had hoped to volunteer there. The Vancouver Status of Women did reply back so I phoned them and set up a time to do an interview.
