Birthday
On December 1 1853, in Bavaria Germany I James Micheal Hudson was born. From the time I was born till I was 30 life in germany was hard. I went to school till I was eight and then I worked on our farm. We grew all kinds of veggies and we had cows. for twenty two years I worked that farm until we had to sell it and we became unemployed. -
Came To America
On June 24 we sailed to america. It took us a couple weeks, but on July 20th we were docked at Harper's Island. As we unloaded I saw we weren't the only travelers. There were thosands of people here as well. After the checks they had to do we were in america. -
Settling in
After we had unloaded we still had no house. For a while we lived in a tent outside of New York. Then suddenly I got a job as a coal miner down in Pennsylvania. I was so happy, but I had to live at the mine. So I left my family and mailed them the money I made. Eventually they got enough to buy an apartment. -
Boom!!!!!!!!
Today was the day I would leave the coal mine and be home with my family again. My oldest daughter is now 22 and has a child of her own. My other twin boys have jobs at a farm were I will be working once I get home. Me and my wife live in an actuall house in Virginia. As I was leaving the mine suddenly boom! -
Were RICH!!!!!
The rest of this story is continued by Susan Hudson his wife. After the mine explosion we were devistated. His body was never recovered. After this something amazing happened. My son won $50,000,000 in a blackjack game! we then lived in riches for the rest of our life. -
Current day
Today the anestor of James and Susan Hudson is Brandon Sensenig. When James and his family came to america they never knew their family would last over 100 years! If it wasn't for James' decision to come to america then there would be no me.
