The purpose for the Navigation Acts was to direct trade between the England and the colonies. The the outsome oof the acts was that the colonist first accepted the act, but later came to resent the British restrictions, Merchants wanted to make their own -
Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1663 set the Appalachain Mountains as the temporary boundary for colonies. This angerd the colonists, especally speculators. They were furious and ignored their land claims, conflict arose between Britian and colonies. -
Sugar Act
The Sugar Act lowered tax on sugar and actually raises tax revenue. It also controlled smuggling and it let officers to sieze goods from smugglers. The colonie protest on taxation, made them mad because british actions violated them as English citizens. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act passed a law the placed tax on almosr all printed materials including newspaer, will and playing cards, then all printed materials had to have tthe royal stamp. The outcome was that Parliment had inferred in colonial affairs by taxes colonies directly. -
Declaratory Act
The Delclaratory was when Parliament delared sovereignity over the colonies all cases. The outcome was enacted on the same day the stamp acr was repealed, this was merely positioning, so that England wold not lose faec for giving into the colonies. -
Townshaed Acts
The Townshead Acts includes duties on new items, including tea, glass and other goods avaliable on the Western Hemsphire. The outcome was the colonists formes the Sons of liberty and the Daughters of Liberty -
Tea Act
The Tea Act was the East India Tea Company granted sole right to sell tea directly to the colonies; some duties on tes was reduced. The outcome was the coloniest sold directly to shopkeepers. -
Coercive Acts
The Coercive ACts closed the Boston Harbor, eleminates current government in Massachusetts, and it restricts many other government mettings. The outcome was the colonists in mass, fell into the British laws, but not for long -
Quebec Act
The Quebec Act was that they set up a government in Quebec, and gave Quebec land west of Applachain Mountains and noth of the Ohio River. The outcome was tht they expressed feeling in their name for the new law.
