    Was officially entitled the Treaty Of Peace, Friendship and Limits and Settlement between the United States of America and the Mexican Republic. Is the peace treaty signed on February 2, 1848, in the Villa at Guadalupe Hidalgo between the IUnitef States and Mexico.

    This treaty gave America the right to buy half of Mexico's land (the territories of California and New Mexico) for 15 million dollars. It basically added an additional 525,000 square miles to the United States territory.
