Steamboat

Steamboat led to th first steamship in war.The idea of steam locomotion had originated completely with him. Fulton was one of the proofs that Americans make anything they turned their minds to, and make it better than anyone else in the world. Steamboats are not in use today because AMerica has power engines now. -
Railroads

Steam engine rail-roading excited America. Railroads were the only real connection with the outside. They are still being used in America in new ways such as, subways in New York and transporting goods from state to state. -
Erie Canal

The opening of the canal was the most exciting event since the end of the war. It also got Americans to believe that they can do anything they wanted too and better than anyone else. The Erie canal is still being today to ship and exchange goods. -
Steel Plow

A John Deere plow could be found in almost every wagon train. This made farmer's work easier. There are more advanced farming tools than the steel plow today so America doesn't use it anymore.

Vulcanized Rubber

Goodyear's Discovery of vulcanized rubber is one of the great inventions in American history. The vulcanization of rubber was benefitial to the electrical industry because rubber was used for many different uses. Today vulcanized rubber is being used for tires and material to create other items and objects. -
