    Global Trade Expands;
    1910 - First International Women’s Day
    1914 - Work War I begins
  • 1920's

    1920's
    Trade Union Movement; (Start of drawing attention to wages and salaries that were unfair to the employees. People were unable to find employers that were willing to negotiate for fair wages even after the war where prices just kept rising and rising. After that they would rally and build up strikes which made this important to globalization and a big movement.)
    1921 - Russian Revolution ends
    1924 - National Origins Act
    1927 - Creation of Saudi Arabia
  • 1930's

    1930's
    Great Depression;
    1935 - Wagner Act (This provided basic rights to employees of businesses to organize trade unions and overall just provided individuals with better conditions at the work place. In terms of globalization this really showed how organizations have really advanced on an international scale.)
    1938 - Fair Labor Standards Act (they make sure that workers are paid at least 25 cents per hour)
    1939 - Spanish Civil War Ends

    New Deal Social Contract; Strong Union Activity;
    1945 - World War II ends
    1945 - The UN was formed
    1948 - Cold War
    1949 - Chinese Revolution
  • 1950's

    1950's
    General Economic Expansion; Civil Rights Movement;
    1953 - Korean War ends
    1954 - Brown v. Board of Education (This was a landmark case in the United States Supreme Court where i stated that it was unconstitutional to separate white and colored students in two different public schools. This is an example of globalization because it had a huge international influence that had largely spread and opened up many people's eyes.)
    1959 - Computer chip invented
    1959 - Latin American Revolution starts

    1960's
    War on Poverty; Women's Movement; Anti-War Movement; LGBT Movement;
    1963 - OAU formed
    1965 - Vietnam War
    1966 - Black Panther Party formed (This organization was very influential in a globalization perspective because it drew attention to police brutality against African Americans. This party created a revolution and got basically the rest of the world to pay attention to what they want them to.)

    1970's
    General Economic Decline; Social Contract Weakens;
    1970 - Very first "Earth Day"
    1973 - US abandons gold standard
    1979 - First LGBT March goes on in Washington (This political rally and definitely helped people interact and was very important to globalization. This opened up people's mind and shed light on the gay community.)

    Begin Wane of US Economic Dominance - Globalization Speeds Up;
    1983 - US invasion of Grenada
    1989 - World Bank forms Structural Adjustment Facility
    1989 - Up and out of Poverty
  • 1990's

    1990's
    Neoliberalism (Social Contract Broken);
    1991 - Environmental Justice movement (This is probably the biggest movement involving globalization due to the fact that it stands for fair and equal treatment to everyone despite of their race, origin, or income. This developed so much international influence which really made it a note worthy event.)
    1997 - Global North gets $77 billion loan profits
    1999 - Bolivian fight for water

    2000's
    Global Economy; Global War; Global Movements;
    2001 - US stock market plummets after 911
    2003 - Bush tax-cut (When President Bush cut taxes it changed the United States tax code which affected businesses and organizations all over the country. Which brought up many fears of increasing globalization of the world economy.)
    2003 - Global response of protest to US War in Iraq
