    How did the invention impact America; He was the first to establish a commercially successful line of ships which led to a transporation revolution.

    When: 1793
    What does it do: Made cotton picking faster and easier by seperating cotton fibers from their seeds.
    Reason for invention: Slaves and farmers had to pick cotton the hard way.
    How the Invention Impact America: It increased cotton
    production in the south and cotton manufacturing in the north.
    Today: The cotton gin are new and more improed machines. The difference is that the cotton is cleaned and wound.

    Today: his invention led to wired communication. Morse code is still used today.
