    World War 1 began with the assassination with Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria.The Russian government collapsed, the League of Nations was formed with the aim of preventing any repetition of such an appalling conflict. The countries that were involved in World War 1 were Australia, Britain, Germany, New Zealand, Gallipoli, and Middle East. World War 1 happened on the Gallipoli peninsula.
