  • The American revolution

    An ideological and political revolution using principles of the enlightenment. The American Revolution began in the 1760s with sporadic acts of rebellion by American colonists.
  • The war of 1812

  • The Mexican American war

    The US invaded Mexico because they refused to agnolage the treaties of Velasco.
  • The civil war

    a war in the United States between the Union and the Confederacy.
  • Spanish American war

    The war led to the United States emerging predominant in the Caribbean region, and resulted in U.S. acquisition of Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines. It also led to United States involvement in the Philippine Revolution and later to the Philippine–American War.
  • WW1

    One of the deadliest wars in history, it resulted in an estimated 9 million soldiers dead and 23 million wounded, plus another 5 million civilian deaths from various causes. Millions more died as a result of genocide, and the war was a major factor in the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic.
  • WWII

    The vast majority of the world's countries, including all the great powers, fought as part of two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. Many participating countries invested all available economic, industrial, and scientific capabilities into this total war, blurring the distinction between civilian and military resources.
