Date Of Birth
This is the day i was born. My life was horrible. My dad would call me stupid. My mom would say to me " your beautiful you know that right?" My dad would always come home crunk and hurt my mom. I would always go to my room and hide. -
Left Home
I left home on my 16th birthday. We had to leave on my birthday becasue my sister had really bad health. We just wanted to get out of there. I felt bad leaving my mom there with my dad but she said to. So me and my sister arrive at the doctors so we can get our physical. But first she needed to get better. We stayed there for a mounth then left to go get on the boat to ellis island. -
Ellis Island
We arrived at Ellis Island on my 17th birthday. We got our physicals and we are feeling really weird. So right after we got the physical we felt weird it was on and off with that. The boat was packed. There was alot of gross people. So we arrive and the island was okay. It was a little bit dirty some people didnt shower. There was alot of people there.It was surrounded by water. It had nice water it was clear. -
Finding A Job
I had to find a job becasue me and my sister didnt have enough money to get a tentement.We are living on the streets and it gets really cold outside so we need to get a house. So i got a nursing job it took a little for them to respond baclk but im happy i got it. It also took a while to find it. It is a really fun job becasue i get to meet new people. -
Finding A Tenements
We finally found a home ot keep us warm. We are really happy they are really clean. They have a nice veiw of the island. They also have running water so now we dont get sick from alot of the people that are sick. My sister is 10 now and she has a bike to ride around town to go get stuff to eat an dcomes back before i get home. I love our new home. -
Leaving or Not Leaving
Im am not leaving because i love it here. It is noce and clean now and me and my sister love it here. We love the island so in the summer we can go swimming we can also go fishing. We are not getting hurt by our dad. Here to find out mom and dad got divorsed and mom is coming and moving in with us.
