  • The Day I got My First Dog

In the summer of 2010, my sister and I received our first pet, a dog named Sunny. This was a major milestone in my youth as my parents weren't the type that surrendered responsibility to us easily. This motivated me to become a more responsible and mature individual. I had another life to take care of.
  • Joining My First Swim Team

In the summer of 2013, I joined my first swim team. The Glenmont Gators became my second home and I soon discovered my passion for swimming. This led to me joining club teams and advancing in the sport. It also helped me with discipline and focus. I also developed leadership skills through volunteering as a swim instructor, and even coaching kids in the younger age groups at my pool.

Freshman year was a grueling experience that molded me into a better thinker, writer, and even helped boost my work ethic. Without the experience I gained through Freshman year, I wouldn't have been able to survive Sophomore year.
  • The Day I Got My Permit

The day that I received my permit was a huge step towards becoming more independent from my parents. On some other level, it was even more than that. I've always lived in a controlled environment. and this opportunity allowed me to be in an enviornment where I was in control. It was a new experience and it's helped shape me in various other ways
