Maltese students in Paris, all very excited about the trip. -
Paris on Monday
First visit of Maltese students was to the Notre Dame, where the girls could admire this magnificent cathedral both from the outside and the inside. -
Before Partners Arrival
French students have built 8 NXT robots that are ready for our international workshops. -
Paris on Tuesday morning.
First thing in the morning, maltese students visited the basilica of the Sacre Coeur Montmartre. Here the students strolled the streets while admiring the performing artists. -

Arrival at LP2I school
Our Partners arrived at the LYCEE PILOTE INNOVANT INTERNATIONAL for the introductory meeting with all the other delegations from 10 different countries. During this meeting students planned their participation in different workshops and classes. -
Ice breaking lesson.
First lesson with maltese and italian students. Students, devided in small international groups, introduce themselves and present their countries and schools. -
Chemistry lesson.
Some italian students are very involved in the activities during a chemistry lesson that they attend with their french correspondents. -
Recording the radio show.
French students recording and broadcasting the radio show on our school's radio. -
Radio Show
French, Italian and Maltese students participating in the radio show. This was a first time for some students and they participated fully through their individual intervention about our Comenius project. This will serve for further dissemination.
Through this programme students presented our I&R Comenius project and discussed about some unusual uses of robots like robotherapy or robots for the fashion. -
Visit to Poitiers.
In the afternoon, all partners visited the historical part of Poitiers and discovered some middle age monuments. -
First NXT workshop.
Working in groups during the first robotics workshop of Thursday. This involved programming an NXT robot with some basic moves and the use of a particular sensor. The groups were formed by students from different countries to emphasize the international dimension of the project. -
Official welcome.
Official welcome of all foreign delegations by Ms Azihari, LP2I headteacher. Each delegation was invited to introduce themselves. -
Dinner at school.
In the evening, the supper was offered by the school. This gave the students a chance to socialize and build international friendships. -
Free time
The students had time to socialise and establish new friendships with the students on board of the project. -
Presentations on circus.
The rest of the afternoon was taken up by the presentations by all the delegations underneath the circus tent which the school purposely erected on the school grounds. -
2nd robotics workshop.
During the second workshop on robotics, students continued working in teams to improve their robots and add more functionality to them. A new challenge was proposed: the goal was to remove the adversary robot from the white plate. Students used their tablettes and smart phones to operate the robots via the Bluetooth connection. -
Work on the race car project
On Friday morning, french and italian students worked together on the race car project and exchanged on the car industry in the both countries. They also used Catia software to create some parts of the car. Students could noticed that they learn similar things in French and Italian schools. -
Futuroscope
On Friday, all foreign students visited Futuroscope. In this theme park there are some activities linked to robotics like "dance with robots". This visit was an opportunity to discover other uses of robots. -
Teachers meeting.
Teachers from France, Italy and Malta participated in a Comenius delegations meeting to evaluate the project's activities and to plan further meetings. -
Project's dissemination.
The open day at the french school gave us the opportunity to disseminate our Comenius project. Students and teachers presented the project to the visitors. Marc, a french student, prepared a big poster with information on the project's activities and subjects. -
Race car project
Maltese students visiting the race car project classroom. -
Open day at LP2I.
During the school's open day, maltese students toured the school and learnt about school practices and projects, especially those related to industry and robotics. They also visited the robotics labs. -
Other visits.
All delegations participated in a Cultural visit to the renaissance chateau of Azay-le-Rideau. Later on, they visited the town of Tours with its historical buildings and medieval cathedral.
