How to Take a Screenshot and Make a Photo

  • Step One

    Go to your computer and navigate to something that you'd like a picture of. It can be the WHOLE screen or just one part of the screen.

    Click the "Print Screen" key. It's on the upper right corner of your keyboard. That's it! You took a screenshot and the picture of your screen is sitting on your Invisible Clipboard.

    What do you want to do with it? If you want to drop it onto a Word or Google document just open the Document and do a "right click." The screenshot will appear on your document.

    Do you need just PART of the screenshot? Open Microsoft Paint. To get to Paint, go to the Start Button...All Programs...Accessories...Paint.

    When Paint opens, click the "Paste" button. It's on the upper left side of the toolbar. Your entire screenshot will appear.

    To cut just the piece you want...use the "Select" button and draw a box around the part you want. Then right-click and choose "Crop."

    Now you should see ONLY the smaller part of the screenshot that you wanted.

    Now choose File...Save As...jpg. Save your Picture.
  • Step Nine

    Your jpg will be in your Picture Folder.
