Step One
Go to your computer and navigate to something that you'd like a picture of. It can be the WHOLE screen or just one part of the screen. -
Step Two
Click the "Print Screen" key. It's on the upper right corner of your keyboard. That's it! You took a screenshot and the picture of your screen is sitting on your Invisible Clipboard. -
Step Three
What do you want to do with it? If you want to drop it onto a Word or Google document just open the Document and do a "right click." The screenshot will appear on your document. -
Step Four
Do you need just PART of the screenshot? Open Microsoft Paint. To get to Paint, go to the Start Button...All Programs...Accessories...Paint. -
Step Five
When Paint opens, click the "Paste" button. It's on the upper left side of the toolbar. Your entire screenshot will appear. -
Step Six
To cut just the piece you want...use the "Select" button and draw a box around the part you want. Then right-click and choose "Crop." -
Step Seven
Now you should see ONLY the smaller part of the screenshot that you wanted. -
Step Eight
Now choose File...Save As...jpg. Save your Picture. -
Step Nine
Your jpg will be in your Picture Folder.
