400-350 BC The Mechanical Bird
Archytas also known as the "father of mechanical engineering"
created the first mechanical bird. It was made out of wood and steam to power its movements.

1927-TV
The first TV was released in 1927 by Philo Taylor Farnsworth a 27 year old who lived in Utah.When TV stated making a more common appearance the use of radios decreased. SInce them most people usually get their new on TV.

1948 Cable TV
Cable TV was first introduced to the United States in 1948. It was first introduced to Arkansas,Oregon and Pennsylvania. Later during the 1980's cable tv was much more common in the U.S. This lead on to new innovations like new tv companies.

1971 "The Floppy Disk"
Alan Shugart and her team of IBM engineers create "The Floppy Disk". This disk allowed information or data to travel from one computer to the other. Almost like an older version of a flash drive.They were discontinued in March 2011.
