The Transistor is invented and becomes a major part of making advanced comuters. I chose this event because I also learned about this part in class, and I think it is interesting how early on it was invented. -

Hideo Yamachito makes the very first electronic computer. I chose this because I just thought it was interesting and a big step in making computers portable and small. -
The Computer Mouse
Douglas Engelbart invents and names the mouse, naming it so because of the wire that came out of it, looking like a mouse tail. I chose this because I think is interesting that the name "mouse" doesn't have any more technical meaning than it looks like a mouse. -

IBM introduces the first word processor. Ever. I chose this becasue it looks very, very different from what we have today for word processors. -

The minicomputer is invented and is a major step towards the development of personal computers. This event is very important because this was when people realized that the smaller the computers were, the better they were, and that personal computers was possible. -
Apple is Founded
Apple Computers is founded by Steve Wazniak and Steve Jobs. This event is very important because this company becomes one of biggest electronics company. -
Macintosh
Apple introduces their first official computer, the Macintosh. It includes a mounsead window interface. This is an important event because it is the first computer Apple releases, the first of a ton. -
The World Wide Web
The World Wide Web is launched for the public on August 6th. This event is important because it the world wide web soo becomes used internationally. This is a huge deal.
