In 1831, Scottish Botanist Robert Brown discovered the nucleus. He discovered that it is an essential constituent of living cells. He also introduced the term nucleus.

In 1838, cells were discovered to be the basic component of living organisms. At that time the Cell Theory was formulated.

In 1870, The invention of the Oil-Immersion lens happens, the development of the microtome technique, and the use of fixing new methods and dyes.
I chose this event because without the Oil-Immersion lens helped lead the way to lenses we use today. -
