In 500AD lived King Arthur. He was King of Britain who defeated the Saxons and established an empire over Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Norway and Gaul. The fact that King Arthur actually lived is very debatable. But there are many legends about him such as the round table, the sword from the stone etc. In the early 6th century King Arthur died at the hands of his nephew and was taken by boat to be burried at the isle of Avalon. -
