Mohandas Karamchand is born in Porbandar, Kathiawar, India -
University studies
His family sent him to study at a university in London called Inner Temple where he studied law -

Vaisakhi Festival (New Year)
Gandhi was arrested on his way to the town of Dheli, days later on April 13 the British Indian Army ordered to kill Sikh, Hindu and Muslim unarmed men, women and children, who were gathered in the garden of Jallianwala for the festival of Vaisakhi. -
Detained and Convicted
Gandhi was arrested in March and sentenced to 6 years in prison for a campaign of civil disobedience. -
Release from prison
Upon his release from prison, Gandhi realized that the political landscape had changed, as the Indian movement had split in two. -
Breaking the Monopoly
The salt march began on March 12, because of the salt monopoly, which affected the poor.
Gandhi left Sabartami for Dandi.
The day of the massacre in Amritsar, Gandhi arrived at the seashore and took a fist of salt with which he symbolically broke the monopoly. -
The Independence
It took Gandhi 8 years for independence, as he was arrested on August 9, 1942. In prison he learned that his wife had died. In 1944 he was released and on August 15, 1947 Gandi achieved independence. -
Death
On January 30th Gandhi was murdered at the age of 78 by a fanatic in New Delhi, India.
