    1948
This is the date when Gandhi was shot and killed. The reason he was shot was because, when he saw rivers of Muslim blood out on the streets of India, Gandhi decided to go to the capital of Delhi to get more fair treatment of Muslim refugees. When Gandhi committed that act, he was a victim for the nations violence, since he looked as if he chose a “side” from both Indian nations. So, since Gandhi protected the Muslim nation, he was shot by a Hindu that felt betrayed by him.
