    After a long winter break the class was introduced to a new project and watched a video about a common man doing heroic things. To get the mind stimulated and flowing again we free wrote about our thoughts, this lead me to get a broad understanding of the project.

    still a bit confused about what is exactly was going on in this assignment, the room buzzed with discussion then turned quiet to listen to "Why Courage Matters." the story made me think twice about what i think a hero is to me in a postive way.

    after hearing another story about a person with heroic characteristics i started to think more and more if my hero would be a world renound hero or an everday person that helps in anyway they can.

    assigned with another component, we were told that we now must interview someone who knows a great deal of knowledge about our person. i thought of many people to interview but was still unsure who could actually give me feedback on my hero.

    After spending a couple of days at the library researching candidates I decided that Nelson Mandela was a great fit for a hero.

    after finishing up the powerpoint it was time to brainstorm ideas about what a hero was and what was the criteria.At first i thought there was a specific list of what defined a hero to me but after hearing my peers view it shifted again to maybe a scientist like Albert Einstien or Michelangelo

    the class was assigned to watch a few clips that in some way or another involved change, then answer questions, by doing so many of us, including me, ideas changed on what a true hero stands for.

    after much time and thought the class was told to write a blog about why we chose our certain hero, This caused me to analyze my decision and simply ask myself "why." even after that my mind didnt change and i stuck to my hero.

    this day was mostly about videos showing gestures that ultimately could change someone or something in a major way. my mind quickly shifted to perhaps writing about an average joe or even an advocate for a common cause instead of some buff foot player

    a very simple day of just reading and researching, after reading more about Nelson Mandela my opinion that he is a inspirational person only grew stronger

    as we all worked on our second blog the discussion of past heroes and heroes in literature made me really think how my views on a hero changed and evolved to more realistic terms.

    altogether as a class each of us read a passage out of a book thatt was about our hreo figures. As i listened to other opinions and outlooks on heros i realized the word hero can be so broad and yet i personally thought my hero figure fit in perfectly
