The Stamp Act
The British Parliament imposed a tax on the colonies in America in 1765. The Stamp Act put a tax on printed materials, requiring them to have a stamp on them to prove the tax had been paid. Because of this, the Stamp Act turned into a boycott. A Congress was created called, "Stamp Act Congress" that wrote up a statement giving the British no power over the colonies. -
The Boston Massacre
A clash between the local town people and the British Troops because of this colonists began to throw rocks and snow balls at the British. In the end, 5 colonists were killed and the Boston Harbour was closed. -

Boston Tea Party
In the Boston Harbor in 1773, the colonist dressed up as Indians and dumped Britian's tea into the harbor. This is because Britain taxed the colonist so they could pay for the French and Indian War. -
Quebec Act
Was an act of the Parliament of Great Britain setting procedures of government in the Province of Quebec. -
Intolerable Acts
In Britain during 1774 the Intolerable Acts were signed and legalized. This happened because of the Boston Tea Party. -
Battle at Lexington and Concord
British troops were sent to Concord to capture John Hancock and Samuel Adam but both men had been warned about the British attack. That night Paul Revere rode thru Concord warning everyone about the British attack. Because the Americans already knew about the British attack, while the British were on the mission, the Americans were already in Lexington ready to attack.
