25 April 1915 Australian and New Zealand forces land at Gallipoli. This area became known as ANZAC Cove.

ANZACS attacked by the Turks to try to drive them back to the beaches.

General Godley ordered an attack by the ANZACS the initial advance was lost and a 1,000 men were killed.

A second battle of Kirthia began and no ground was gained. Over a third of the men who attached were wounded or killed.

42,000 Ottoman’s launched a surprise attacked outnumbering the ANZACS. The attack resulted in 3,000 Turkish deaths against only 160 ANZACS.

A truce was organised to bury the dead lying in no man’s land.

The ANZACS successfully attached and captured a Turkish Trench at Lone Pine.

November 1915 A rain storm that lasted 3 days flooded trenches and drowned soliders.

December 1915 ANZAC Cove and Suvla were evacuated.

Helles was also evacuated and this marked the end of the battle of Gallipoli.
