After the French surrendered they took Champlain as a hostage back to England. -

Then there was a treaty between the French and the English.
The French and English signed a peace treaty in 1632 calle the Saint-Germain-en-Laye which returned the Quebec back to the French. -

He sailed back to Quebec in 1633 after the treaty was signed and had to rebuild the fort -
