Prenatal
Infants in the womb develop a familiarity with their mother's voice and sensitive to some outside sound like music. -
2 months
A baby begins to develop vowel noises and "babbles" imitating the language they hear. -
3-4 months
Infants and mothers tend to imitate each other which helps gain developmental skills in comprehending. -
4-6 months
The baby begins to comprehend commonly used words, play "peek-a-boo", and sometimes recognize their own name. -
8-12 months
The baby starts to point to objects conveying information to others, plays more turn-taking games, and begins to understand labeling objects with the help of a caregiver. -
12 months
Toddler continues to babble but they develop their language and accuracy/ speed of the speech increases fast. As well as their first word. -
18-24 months
Toddlers vocabulary expands to the max of 250 words, combines their words together, can learn up to two words a day. -
3-5 years
At this age, a child will begin to form longer sentences to communicate needs, wants, information learned, and anything else. that might happen and starts pre-school. -
6-8 years
The child at this age usually will be starting school so they will learn how to solve problems, communicating ideas, and read simple books for their age -
8-9 years
At this age, they will start to have a community of friends, read more, draw/ paint, have collection i.e. sea shells, understand time, months, days, and years. -
9-12 years
At this age, the child will create an even stronger community of friends, write more, read more, and develop more adult relationships
