  • 2011. Social media begins to boom

  • 2012 Gamification

    Teachers were able to up engagement by starting to create more games in class. Students are beginning to use things like coolmathgames.com and Kahoot.it
  • 2014 Personal Cloud

    During 2014, the era of people having their own database away from their physical device began to grow. Everyone began to start downloading more files and keeping more content, personalized to them. Students held onto more assignments and images on their mobile devices.
  • 2016 TikTok

    2016 TikTok
    TikTok was released in September 2016. Since then, over 150 million users have downloaded the social app. Students and teachers alike, use this for everything! Users can find community, advice, ideas, inspiration and more within TikTok!
  • 2020 Resurgence of ZOOM

    Although initially created in 2011, and made public in 2019, this platform was popularized during the pandemic of 2020. The ability to video chat and communicate was made efficient via ZOOM. Most schools and counties in the country, depended on ZOOM during the pandemic. Since then, ZOOM has continued to be use in the professional and academic arena. Students are familiar and able to use this form of technology forever.
  • 2023 Artificial Intelligence

    Although a concept around for decades, the technological manifestation of it has come to life. Between 2022 and 2023 AI has begun to take over. From voice variations to imagination turned reality, anything is possible. AI helps students form questions and link thoughts together. Many AI apps are intuitive and helpful and can truly make a difference.
