According to "The History of Special Education Law in the United States" by Peter W.D. Wright and Pamela Darr Wright, Brown v. Board of Education was a court case that resulted in the desegregation of schools based on race. Wright and Pamela Darr Wright, this law was enacted by Congress with the goal of ensuring that all children with disabilities were able to receive an education and establishing ways to hold education agencies accountable. This law has been renewed and reauthorized several times, the latest of which in 2004. -
