My mom showed to me what a Drag Queen is
I went with my mom to a Drag Queen's show, and I was completly shocked. She explained everything about them to me. -
The first time I saw a gay couple
I was with my mom and I saw two guys holding hands. I asked her about them, and she explained to me what a gay person was. -
I became friends with a POC person and truly understood racism
I met a POC girl, and I became friends with her. I saw what a POC person lives every single day and I truly understood racism. -
I (proudly) became a feminist
I learned about feminism, and I became one. -
I educated myself about islam
I educated myself about islam, understanding that they have a different religion, and accepting it. -
I learned about a new country/culture
I finally met my cousin from Latvia, and she taught me about things I didn't know about her country. -
I heard about nonbinary people
In 2017/2018 I learned that there is people who doesn't identfy as male or female, and they can identify as both or none of them. -
Today
I've learned a lot of stuff in my almost 17 years of life. Now, with everything that I have learned I understand that everyone is different and we all should be accepted just the way we are
