This is the 1st generation of the computer called the ENIAC (Electric Numerical Integrator and Computer) it was invented in 1940 by John Mauchly and John Presper Eckert. -
2nd Generation Of The Computer
The 2nd generation of computer was created in1956,They were no longer run by vacuum tubes but the new invention the transistor. It made the computers smaller, faster, cheaper and more efficient to run. -
3rd Generation Of The Computer
In 1964 the 3rd generation of the computer was created, it was made with integrated circuits instead of transistors which then was even more advanced and efficient. The keyboard and monitor was also created in the 3rd generation. -
4th Generation Of The Computer
The 4th generation was invented in 1971 and is still the present generation of computers. In the 4th generation microprocessors where invented which is an even more advanced and efficient process. 3 years later apple invented the macintosh dedicated for home usage. -
The Present Day And The Future
Today computers are one of the most used devices on earth. Every day people are creating more advanced technology and are working hard to soon hit the 5th generation.
