    Dante's Contributions
    Dante wrote his best known work known as "The Divine Comedy".
    He was also known as the finest poet in the Middle Ages. Dante was alo a philosopher and a political thinker. He contributed to the Renaissance by spreading his wonderful style of poetry and writing throughout that period of time. We still learn and study of the Renaissance and his work is definetly worth learning about.

    Chaucer was definitly a gift to the world's literature. He was an excellent writer during the Renaissance. he is also considered by many to be the father English literature. People today can still be influenced by his writings today. He has written a book called "The Canterbury Tales" and also other peices. So, he has co'ntributed greatly to the literature of the Renaissance.

    Brunelleschi's Contributions
    Brunelleschi was an architect and engineer. He was
    also one of the early pioneers of early Renaissance architecture in Italy. He contributed with his innovative problem solving skills and archectual abilities. One work of his is the dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore in Florence. He was also an inventor at times. Brunelleschi was a very interesting man during the Renaissance.

    Da Vinci's Contributions
    Da Vinci was a wonderful artist that contributed greatly to the Renaissance. He had many different styles and works of art. Some of his art included the idea of humanism which brought out the value in other things besides religion. One of Da Vinci's pieces was known as the "Mona Lisa". This was a beautiful piece of art with the center of interest around a woman. His art is still recognized today, and tye way he created his art is very influential on our art today.

    Like the other artists, Raphael contributed to the Renaissance with his painting. One piece of his art include the "School of Athens". This was a new style of painting during this time. His artwork's impact was in his depiction of emotion, portrayed realistically in great detail. He was definetly one of the 3 great artist along with Da Vinci and Michelangelo.

    Michelangelo's Contributions
    Michelangelo was an italian sculptor, painter, architect, poet, and engineer of the Renaissance. He made an influence on the people with the developement of Western Art. Michelangelo as well as Da Vinci were known as the Renaissance men. They both contributed to art during the Renaissance. Some of his pieces included David and the Sistine Chapel.

    Machiavelli was one of the most important political fgures in the Renaissance. He wrote books that influenced the behavior of many people. His writing also contributed to the literature of the Renaissance. One of his books was know as "The Prince". He wrote it in 1513, but it wasn't published until five years after his death.
