His goal was to control and concer new lands for spain. His goal was also to find lots and lots of gold in mexico. And to concer the aztecs wich were very rich indians.
Cortes arrives in mexico. And when he first arived there he scuttled his ship so that his saliors wont try to run away. Then they kill Montezuma which was their god so now he was then ther god and now he has lots and lots and lots of gold.

He survives the hurricane and takes place of Naraevez and he was the one who kept a document of stuff and his goal is to survive he meets the carankawa and he got fatned up by them and they are held captive there. Until a battle. route gulf and south texas plains. the spanish army captures them but when they get to mexico city he tells a story. 7 cities of gold Cibola.

His goal was to explore the gulf of mexico by land. When he getts there he ends up in florida and the indians trick them and a bunch of guys get killed and the people that watch the ship end up leaving. when they get to texas they die in a hurricane.

Goal ~ He has to find Sebola.
Route ~ Starts in Mexico city and travels to El Paso. From their he follows the Rio Grande.
Result ~ He saw sebola. He acomplished his goal.

Result ~ he found oil and explored lots of places
Misc. ~ esteban was his guide and he had lots of anger issues. He also got tricked several times by the indians. What he thought was cebola was a Zuni settlement. the socond place he thought was cebola was Quivera -

Route ~ valley of the Rio Grande
Goal ~ creat some spanish settlements in the Rio Grande valley (most of New Mexico).
Result ~ He established San Fe. No more conquistadores come to Texas for 75 years. Till france tries to come and take Texas and that upsets Spain.
Misc. ~ He goes into the pan handle of Texas to look for gold (the golden cities).
