The Z1 Computer
The Z1 was a machine of about 1000 kg weight, which consisted from some 20,000 parts. It consisted completely of thin metal sheets. The only electrical unit was an electrical engine with power 1kW, which was used to provide a clock frequency. -
The Mouse and Windows Computer
Douglas Engelbert changed the way computers worked, from specialized machinery that only trained scientist could use, to a user-friendly tool that almost anyone can use. He invented or contributed to the computer mouse and windows. He also contributed to the making of the internet. -
Apple Lisa Computer
This computer was the first home computer with a GUI, graphical user interface.Prior to the Lisa, all computers were text based - you typed commands on the keyboard to make the system respond. Now, with the Lisa, you just point-and-click at tiny pictures on the screen with a small rolling device called a “mouse”. -
Microsoft Windows Computer
There are drop-down menus, scrollbars, icons, and dialog boxes that make programs easier to learn and use. You're able to switch among several programs without having to quit and restart each one. Windows 1.0 ships with several programs, including MS‑DOS file management, Paint, Windows Writer, Notepad, Calculator, and a calendar, card file, and clock to help you manage day-to-day activities. There’s even a game—Reversi. -
Windows 8 Computer
Windows 8 is Microsoft's latest operating system. Windows 8 represents a dramatic change from the traditional Windows experience, and shipped on October 26th, 2012. Microsoft introduced a different user interface, originally codenamed “Metro,” that is similar in style found on phones running Windows. -
The Sony Nextep Computer
Developed to be worn as a bracelet, this computer concept features a flexible OLED touchscreen, a holographic projector (for screen), pull-out extra keyboard panels and social networking compatibility. It’s still a concept but there are serious steps taken to makes this real. -
The Awe Machine
It’s basically a really, really thin piece of glass. That can take very fine pictures, it has an HD screen, and long distance calls are an ease with The Awe Machine. It can also hover in the air. The Awe Machine is a notepad, and of course it has a keyboard of thin glass, which makes it the most awesome computer ever! -
