  • TRS-80 Color Computer

    TRS-80 Color Computer
    The TRS-80 Color Computer was introduced in July 31, 1980 by Tandy Corporation. It was designed by Steve Leininger. It was a personal computer based on a Motorola processor, featuring boasted color graphics. It had the features of a home computer along with computer games at a low-cost.
  • Commadore 64

    Commadore 64
    The Commadore 64 (C64) was released in August of 1982 by The Commadore Business Machines. It had great strength in speed, design, and storage. In a span of 10 years, the C64 would sell around 20 million units. It was one of the best computers in the 1980s.
  • Lisa

    Lisa was the first personal computer with a graphical user interface (GUI) that was mass-marked. It was introduced by Apple in January of 1983. Although it has slow speed and at a high cost, it had a great contribution to the future of the PC.
  • Apple Macintosh

    Apple Macintosh
    After failure with Lisa, Apple soon after released Apple Macintosh. It was introduced in January 24, 1984. Apple Macintosh was the first computer with a graphic user interface to succeed by utilizing a mouse. It was also sold for a low price.
  • Nintendo Game Boy

    The Nintendo Game Boy was invented by Gunpei Yokoi and was released in April 21, 1989. It was a portable and handheld video game console based on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Inventions like the Nintendo Game Boy made consumers realize that the next decade would bring convenience, portability, and handheld capabilities through technological advancements.
